Thanks to some serious wind, work was focused on the back of the house for a while. The first thing that went up was the back deck overhang:
Then they started covering it... (that's goofball framer Jeff posing up there.)
And when it was all covered, someone mentioned that the back of the house at that point looked a little like a newly-built Catholic church...so one of the framers (Jeff again) decided to put a cross up for us:
The weekend after that, Ryan, Papa, and Andy worked on the wiring, getting the boxes set where they need to be.
And soon after that, the rest of the boards on the roof as well as the front porch were going up:
And then, in what seemed like no time at all, the front porch was completed, the roof was papered, and the windows were in.
When Ryan and I stopped in yesterday we were just in time to watch the rest of the doors go in. Here's Trevor and Drew putting in the mudroom door:
Paul making a backing for the meter boxes:
Drew and Jeff carrying the front door. They were trying to navigate some really unsteady terrain and were afraid they were going to drop it - right before this picture was taken Jeff mumbled "Man, I really would prefer the homeowner not watch this!"
But in no time, the door was in place and looking wonderful!
And here it stands now.
And on the baby front...
I saw the doctor on Monday and everything is looking fine. I had my belly measured for the first time and I'm right on track. Got to hear the little one's heartbeat again also, and its strong and perfect. I see the Dr. again in mid-march, and then start going every 2 weeks. Woohoo!
More soon!

Your house looks great! Now, you are getting exciting to get things done inside the house.
Glad to hear that your pregnancy is doing well so far. Are you going to find out what gender you will have or surprise after birth?
