What a difference 2 months can make!!!

It's like I snapped my fingers and suddenly 2 months have passed...here we are at the end of April, and things are moving so quickly - with the house and baby.

First off, the house is coming along wonderfully. Ryan has been working his booty off, as have the contractors and some wonderful family members. So much has been done! The interior framing is done, the roof is on, plumbing is complete, the electrical work very near complete, all the windows and doors, including the garage doors, are up. Also, the exterior wall insulation was started yesterday and will be done today and the siding is going up. Check it out: The drywall people are coming next week to start, which will really make it look as finished inside as it is out. Our cabinets are on order and out kitchen appliances have been delivered and are waiting off-site for installation. We're been really lucky, in that other than having some wonky-acting shingles and a certain cabinet/lighting place forgetting to place the order for our fireplace, things have been relatively smooth. (Relative to the insanity that normally seems to go with building.) The weather did slow us down a little, but we've gotten a lucky break in the last few days - lets hope it continues.

Since it is now staying light in the evening, I'm making every attempt to go out there as often as I can, although my ever-growing belly is making walking on the rock driveway a little treacherous.

Speaking of the ever-growing belly, baby is doing great. He's (oh yeah, did we ever oficially mention its a "he"?) a big baby, and although ultrasounds can be deceiving, appears to have a full head of crazy hair (although who knows if he'll still have that hair at birth). The u/s tech commented that from what we can see so far, this kid looks just like Ryan. Not a bad thing, in my opinion. I'm in the 'appointments every 2 weeks' phase of pregnancy, so I have another appt. this Monday morning. If anything new and exciting comes up, I'll post. I'll also try to get some interior house pictures up here soon - I'll definintely have some when the drywall starts going in.

I can't believe both the baby and the house will be "done" soon!
